Nursery Section (A3-P3)

Early childhood education for children aged 3-6. Play-based learning foundation with focus on literacy, numeracy, and social development in a nurturing environment.

Primary Section (P4-P6)

Strong academic foundation covering Mathematics, English, French, Science, and Social Studies. Emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, and character development.

STEM Programme

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics enrichment programme with hands-on experiments, coding classes, robotics club, and ICT integration across all subjects.

Arts & Culture

Visual arts, music, drama, and traditional Rwandan cultural education. Students explore creativity through painting, choir, traditional dance, and theatrical performances.

Sports & Athletics

Comprehensive sports programme including football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, and martial arts. Regular inter-school competitions and fitness training.

Languages Programme

Early Years

NurserySection

A joyful start to learning for our youngest students, building foundational skills through play-based education and nurturing care.

Our nursery programme welcomes children aged 3 to 5, offering a warm and stimulating environment where curiosity is celebrated and every child is encouraged to learn through play. We believe the early years are the most formative, and our dedicated educators create foundations that nurture a lifelong love of learning.

Each day is carefully structured to balance guided activities and free exploration. Children take part in story circles, sensory play, music sessions and outdoor adventures — all designed to develop their cognitive, social and physical skills in an age-appropriate way.

Foundation Years

PrimarySection

A rigorous academic program that builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking for future success.

Our primary section offers a rigorous and engaging academic programme that follows Rwanda's national curriculum, enriched with international best practices. From P1 to P6, students build strong foundations in core subjects while developing critical thinking, creativity and character.

Class sizes remain small to ensure individual attention, and our teachers combine direct instruction, group work and project-based learning to keep every child engaged. We prepare students not only for national examinations, but for a life of curious and confident learning.

Our school library is at the heart of academic life at APAPEC IREBERO. With a carefully curated collection of books in Kinyarwanda, English and French, it serves as a resource for classroom learning and a haven for independent exploration.

Every class has a scheduled library period each week, and students are encouraged to borrow books regularly. Our qualified librarian supports teachers with research projects and guides students in developing information literacy skills that will serve them throughout their schooling.

STEM education is a priority at APAPEC IREBERO. We believe every child — regardless of age — can engage in scientific thinking and creative problem solving. Our STEM programme integrates the four disciplines through exciting hands-on projects that connect classroom learning to the real world.

From building simple machines in lower primary to conducting experiments and introductory coding in upper primary, our students build confidence with technical concepts while having fun. STEM clubs and science fairs provide further opportunities for students to explore their passions.

Our trilingual programme ensures students develop fluency in three languages, opening doors across Rwanda, Africa, and the world.

Rwanda's trilingual policy is fully embraced at APAPEC IREBERO. We believe strong language skills are the foundation of all learning, and our students develop confidence and fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and French from their very first day at school.

Our language teaching goes beyond grammar and vocabulary. Through storytelling, debates, creative writing, drama and authentic conversation, students learn to use each language meaningfully and confidently.
